J.A. Wylie, the servant of God

" Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." (Psa. 116:15).

Throughout the great controversy played out on the earth, God has never been without a continuous witness of His truth. Below is just such a representative for the Lord Jesus, the great Spirit of truth, as all revelation of truth has come through the testimony of Jesus.

Even if all Catholic tradition wasn't rooted of Dr. Wylie's theology, even if his writing doesn't bear the Third Angel's present truth of the "solemn testimony upon which the destiny of the church hangs", J.A. Wylie's works have given an abundance of documentation that was needed for substantiating the inspired insights of Ellen White.

Couldn't the same arrangement be said to have happened in the writing of the Bible? The prophets were authorities on the truth to be presented, and the events portrayed to them. But they had to rely on the non-inspired historians for documenting places and dates connected with the prophecy. Therefore, James Wylie and Ellen White were providentially placed, indispensable contemporaries.

His loyalty to the Reformation, inherited from his father's early instructions and example, and then his college teachers, Dr. Thomas Chalmers and Dr. Thomas M'Crie, led to Dr. Wylie's promotion of biblical justification by faith, and the great effects of Protestantism and Catholicism on human history, have added only depth to understanding the holy and happy tree of life and the miserable tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

                           ------

(Died May 1, 1890.)

by Rev. C. A. Salmond, M.A., Edinburgh.

The Free Church Monthly, August 1, 1890.

In the lamented removal of Dr. Wylie, the leading representative of a Church and also of a cause has been taken from us. Surviving as he did the younger M'Crie, he was the most notable living representative, for years past, of the majority of the Original Secession body, who joined the Free Church in 1852. And, as everybody knows, he has long been the leading Protestant authority, not in Scotland only, but in English-speaking Christendom, on all questions relating to the Romish controversy.

Born at Kirriemuir on 9th August 1808, he had nearly completed his eighty-second year when he died, on 1st May of the present year; but such was his vitality even as an octogenarian, that at the time of his death he had in contemplation an amount of literary work, the thought of which would have burdened many a younger man. He hoped, for one thing, to finish his "History of the Scottish Nation," by adding other three volumes to the third lately issued; and he had expressed his willingness, when Mr. Cusin died, to undertake if called upon-- a task happily committed since to his friend Mr. M'Crie of Ayr-- the preparation of the next series of the Cunningham Lectures.

His name-- James Aitken Wylie-- is itself suggestive, to those familiar with Scottish Secession history of the surroundings and influences among which as a boy he was reared. James Aitken, his minister and name-father, was one of the most godly and in every way estimable leaders of the "Old Light Anti-burghers," and Dr. Wylie felt and owned to the last how much he owed to his nurture in that school of robust primitive piety. It may interest modern readers about "Thrums" to find the old man writing thus, not long ago:--

"My heart often goes back to Kirriemuir. Its Communion Sabbaths, though now eighty years behind me, are still green and fragrant in my memory. I bless God that I was born in the Original Secession Church. I now see that it was an essential preparation for doing the work to which I have been called; and if I have done any good in the world, the ordering of my birth has been one of the main subordinate causes. The 'History of Protestantism' has its roots in the feelings, the kindlings, and the aspirations of my boyhood, and in the sympathy for the oppressed and downtrodden which was wrought in me by the derision and persecution which Mr. Anderson [author of 'The Ladies of the Covenant'] and myself daily endured from a set of reprobate school-fellows, who termed us 'Aitkenites.'"

His education was begun in the parish school of his native place. Then he passed to Marischal College, Aberdeen, for three years, completing his Arts course by a session at St. Andrews, under Dr. Thomas Chalmers. In 1827 he entered the O. S. Divinity Hall in Edinburgh, and there came under the influence of a man who impressed him even more than Chalmers had done-- Dr. Thomas M'Crie, the biographer of Knox. He was admitted to intimate fellowship by M'Crie, and he carried the memory of his friend and teacher with him as a life-long inspiration. In 1828, James Aitken Wylie was one of eleven divinity students who, with twenty-one ministers and seven probationers of the Original Secession Synod, "renewed the Covenants" in Edinburgh; and in him the last survivor of this little band of jurants has passed away. Referring to the abiding influence on Dr. Wylie's mind and character of this early environment, Principal Rainy has fitly said: "His religious life was nourished in some of the richest lines of the Scottish pious tradition; and from that circle and centre of influence he had derived impressions which gave a special character-- and an attractive one-- to his modes of view and feeling. He always retained a full sympathy with the characteristic tendencies of the Old Secession in matters religious and ecclesiastical; yet with a certain largeness of construction, and with a literary instinct, which enabled him in various respects to keep pace with his time, and to perceive the new form in which old forces must work."

His license took place on 1st December 1829, and he was ordained at Dollar on 20th April 1831. His pastoral sphere there was a very limted one, but its duties were faithfully and cheerfully discharged for the next fifteen years, during which period, however, his pen had found for him a much wider constituency. To the time of the Dollar ministry belong his "Modern Judea," "Scenes from the Bible," and other works, which were most favourably received, and ran into numerous additions.

In 1846, Mr. Wylie had an important offer from Hugh Miller, which, by the advice of the younger M'Crie and with the eager approval of Dr. Candlish, he felt it his duty to accept-- the joint-editorship, namely, of The Witness. This involved his transference to Edinburgh, on whose streets, for the succeeding forty-four years of incessant literary activity, he has been one of the most familiar figures. His association with Hugh Miller on The Witness was a very happy one; and some eight hundred of the leading articles in that almost epoch-making journal were from Mr. Wylie's hand.

His exuberant energy found outlet the while in the publication of several separate volumes, the most notable of which appeared in 1851, and was entitled "The Papacy: its History, Dogmas, Genius, and Prospects." This treatise gained for him, by the unanimous award of Drs. Wardlaw, Cunningham, and Eadie, the Evangelical Alliance prize of a hundred guineas. It also won for him a European reputation,-- to which the savage attacks of Romish critics, at home and on the Continent, brought added lustre,-- and it helped to give direction to his future life.

In 1852, as already mentioned, Mr. Wylie joined the Free Church of Scotland; and in the following year he became editor of the Free Church Record-- a post which he held for the next eight years. The degree of LL.D. was conferred upon him by Aberdeen University in 1856. Of his separate literary ventures at this time, one was a competitive essay on "The Gospel Ministry: the Duty and Privilege of Supporting It." He secured by it the prize of £150; and in this connection Dr. Joseph Parker, who obtained proximos honores, writes: "On procuring Dr. Wylie's essay and reading it, I said, 'This should have won both the prizes: it is infinitely the best.'" The "Pilgrimage from the Alps to the Tiber," "The Waldenses," and "The Great Exodus," also found many readers.

In 1860, mainly through the instrumentality of Dr. Begg, the Protestant Institute was established; and Dr. Wylie, by acclamation, was invited to be the lecturer. The appointment in his case was for life; and though the subject of Popery is not in itself attractive, it is true-- and it is much to say-- that for thirty successive years Dr. Wylie's treatment of it has continued to be a living influence in our land. In him the Churches had no mere holder of an office, but a man with a mission, who, while centering his energies on the functions of his chair, was ready to devote his life in every possible way to the exposure of Papal errors and the clear and fervid counter exposition of the principles of the Reformation. If the members of even his first class felt that they were sitting at the feet of one who was a past-master in his subject, the successive relays of students who, to the number of about two thousand, went through his classes, had equal reason to know that in their teacher they had one not only familiar with

Popish theory, but keenly awake to Popish practice in all its contemporary developments.

Besides holding his classes, Dr. Wylie addressed countless meetings in his time throughout the country. His "delivery," it must be said, contrasted unfavourably with the grace of his written style; but he rose on occasions to a genuine eloquence which fairly carried his audience along with him. This was notably the case once and again in Exeter Hall, where his appearance was latterly hailed with the utmost enthusiasm; and in many parts of England the announcement of Dr. Wylie's name would draw a large audience together at any time. This was partly to be accounted for by the greater urgency of the Romish question in England. It was partly, no doubt, also due to the great circulation of his writings in the sister country, where his magnum opus, for example-- "The History of Protestantism," 3 vols., 2,000 pp., 1874-77-- has sold in scores of thousands.

Dr. Wylie was not one to whom any large share of outward honours fell; nor did he covet them. But that he held a high place in the esteem and a warm place in the affections of many, came unmistakably out at the time of his jubilee in 1881. The meeting, presided over by Sir Henry Moncreiff, at which his portrait, now hanging in the Institute, was presented, was of the most genuinely appreciative character; and the £300 gift, handed to him by Dr. Whyte and the writer about the same time one day in his study, came in so freely from the few friends applied to throughout the country as to indicate that a much larger sum might readily have been gathered had a wider movement been set afoot. The intention of the gift, however, was completely realized; for in the following spring, at the age of seventy-four, the doctor accomplished his tour in Egypt and Palestine, of which he has given a graphic account in his "Land of the Pharaohs," and his "Over the Holy Land."

James A. WylieWe cannot enter further here into the details of his busy life. It was a life of great simplicity both in purpose and in habit. Spent mostly at the desk, or rather at the desk and mantlepiece on which a great part of his writing was done, it was varied by two regular daily "constitutionals," at daybreak and in the afternoon, when he was at home, and by an occasional excursion to one or other of the historic lands of Europe, in the intervals of his class work. The day was ordinarily crowned by an hour or two of cheerful converse by the hearth. Those favoured with his intimate friendship will bear the writer out in saying, as he has already done elsewhere, that to be with Dr. Wylie at such times, and to listen to his rich and sparkling conversation, on whatever subject might come up, meant both education and enjoyment.

Men spoke of him sometimes as a "fanatic;" but if his utterances on the Papacy were strong, his detestation of the system was equalled by his tenderness for its unhappy votaries. To virile strength he united a woman's sensibility. It was a profound mistake to fancy in him an acrid, self-assertive, one-idead controversialist. He was one of the best informed, most genial, and sympathic of men, and his deep unaffected humility was one of his greatest charms. You could not be long with him without perceiving in him a lover of Christ and of all good men, and his mellow unostentatious piety gave an unmistakable savour to all his life.

[Transcriber's note: The right hand border on the last column of the article was somewhat blurred by the fact that the binding of the book could not be laid flat against the copier. The following words in brackets [ ] are not exact quotes, but are near approximations, as far as I can tell.]

And now he has gone to be with Christ, for whom he lived and in whom he died. His end was as simple as his life had been. Influenza seized him at the close of his last session, when, through [extensive] work of various kinds, his system was [unusually weak]. For three or four weeks he was confined to bed. Though nothing serious was apprehended, [he was] greatly cheered, as were his two attached [disciples] by the occasional visits of his minister and [fellow] townsmen Dr. Whyte, in whose congregation he had long been an elder, and whose weekly pulpit ministrations had been to him a fountain of [life]. He said to me on the Sabbath evening before he died, "I have often been a very unworthy [worship]per, but I can truly say, 'Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy house, the place where thine honour dwelleth.'" It was not till the day before [the end] came that it was a settled conviction with him [that] he was to die. But by that time he had relinquished all his literary plans, asking anything or [nothing to] be done with his papers, as might seem to be best. His mind was reverting to early Kirrie days, and anon going forward to the eternal world, on [which] he was so soon to enter. I said, "You are [relying] on Christ, doctor?" "Yes," he replied; "[He is] Christ the Rock. If there's a piece of adamant [any]where in the universe, it's there-- Christ the Rock." Next morning I was again by his bedside. [Death] was now plainly written on his face. He spoke with difficulty some words of blessing, and as he [entered in] his breathless closing struggle with the last enemy, I could hear him say in the words of the old [psalm:]

"Upon the Lord, who worthy is

Of praises, will I cry:

And then shall I preserved be

Safe from mine enemy."

He remained conscious for a short [time after this], and could give a look of recognition [still], and a farewell pressure of the hand to those [close] to him. But he never spoke again; and [it will] ever be suggestive of a hallowed memory [and laud]able, after a lifelong friendship with him, to [quote] him in turn what he wrote to me of [the dear] M'Crie: "I watched by his bedside when [he was] dying, and I was the last to whom he [addressed] mortal speech."

Dr. Wylie's earthly remains were laid in the [New]ington cemetery, just a few yards from the [grave of] Dr. Begg. Principal Rainy made [impressive] reference to him in Free St. George's on the [follow]ing Sabbath, in the absence of Dr. Whyte[.] [In] speaking cordially of Dr. Wylie's work, his [literary] power, various knowledge, and "the [inexhaustible] fertillity of mind which age seemed [unable to] weaken or exhaust," Dr. Rainy said, [and with] these words we close: "Besides his [service we re]cognized in him the antique atmosphere and [light] and shade of an older time. We feel the [passing] away of memories and associations we [would gladly] have retained among us-- interesting, [edifying,] endeared. We are the poorer for the loss. [We see] the old order changing. We shall do well [to cleave] to the truth it lived by, and to reproduce [it with] the fidelity to truth and goodness, to Christ [and the] gospel, which inspired it."

Concerning the California wildfires: Interview with John and Matt by Shellie

"Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish." (2Thess. 2:9,10).

Today, Protestant America is coming under increasing military assault in a very unconventional war. From within more than from without, every fiber of our societal fabric is under attack: personal morals, social mores, religion, economy, science, history, medical, government, military, etc. Deception and delusion, the power of suggestion and slight of hand, are the name of the game. Psy-op after psy-op. All systems that created walls of protection for Americans, are failing and being used against Americans, and against what made them great--the Protestant faith in Jehovah the God of Protestantism, and the 1611 Protestant Bible.

Everywhere I go I see and hear forgetfulness of Jehovah--the most pervasive unbelief! It's like what He said of Israel in Jeremiah's day, "Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet My people have forgotten Me days without number." (Jer. 2:32).

Protestant Americans say just like the ancient people of God, "Our nation is at the top of the world. We're mature adults and sophisticated now. God, we don't need Your help anymore. Thanks, but C U later aligator!"

"O generation, see ye the word of the Lord. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say My people, We are lords; we will come no more unto Thee? " (Jer. 2:31,32).

"Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto Me?" (Jer. 2:21).

Revelation 12:15-17 shows that North America was a gift from Providence to the churches of Protestantism, for a refuge from papal persecution and despotism. By divine signs and wonders the infant Protestant movement as verily was rescued from the Dark Ages captivity as were the Mosaic children of Israel delivered from centuries of Egyptian bondage. Holy Roman Emperor Carlos responded immediately to the Pope's call to destroy the "Lutheran heritics". But just as the Emperor set out to fulfill that mission, the Turks attacked southeast Europe. After twenty years and all his wealth gone, he was unable to destroy the Protestant movement. It had grown exponentially and was spreading uncontrollably. Providential, the Muslim invasion? The Lord said, "I will fight for My Protestants."

Then they hazarded the gigantic ocean to get away from the corrupt Catholic world. The Pilgrims were "wholly a right seed", and "a noble vine." And for generations the influence of the Lord's Spirit through faith in the Bible left most of the Protestant colonialists tied to the God of their Reformation fathers.

But, today Protestant and Adventist Americans both have ended no differently than the northern and southern kingdoms of Israel (respectively), which kingdoms both were vomited out of their land. The exact same vomiting out of the holy land is about to occur again in America. Why do I say that America is the holy land as was the ancient theocracy of Israel? Because, like ancient Israel, our laws and land have been blessed by heaven, abounding in every holy pleasure, flowing with milk and honey, freedom and joy.

For the past 401 years, Protestant America has been Jehovah's "mighty and holy people" (Dan. 8:24). And Protestant Americans still are, even though popular cries point to 1948 as the Jews' reclamation and reinstatement to divine favor. But, the real indication of the mighty and holy people is that they hold the truth of God's word, and have His super-abundant temporal blessing.

But, Protestantism is the only religion that preaches the present truth that the only-begotten Son of God came at the end of the time appointed, prophesied in Daniel's great Messianic prophecy that was fulfilled 2,000 years ago. Messiah Jesus poured out His soul in our place to spare us Judgment Day damnation, and appeal to us to return to His Father and spend the rest of our lives obedient to His Father's commandments.

But now we're going back to the Dark Ages' persecuting Beast power, the Vatican. We're worshipping its Trinity god that is over God the Father. We don't want the Father's commandments. We prefer the papacy's freedom from divine Law. We like the Papal-Evangelical constant mesmerizing mantra, "Grace! Grace! Nothing but super-sweet grace! The acceptance of that falsehood, that God doesn't condemn sin, has been a slippery slope, and increasingly so over the past century.

"Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?" (Jer. 5:29).

Now the churches are preaching, "Peace and safety!", they knowing what the scriptures say in regard to that:

"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape." (1 thess. 5:2,3).

Why the nations get angry at the end

"And the nations were angry, and Thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that Thou shouldest give reward unto Thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear Thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth." (Rev. 11:18).

Another prophecy, that of Daniel 7 sheds light on this one, "The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces." (Dan. 7:23).

This fourth kingdom was Rome, the fourth great empire that ruled the ancient world. But different from the previous three empires, it would reign until the end of time. Under many guises, through many schemes, professing both of the basic life philosophies, spiritual power and temporal power, it's tyranny over humanity would be complete.

Through its self-assumed role as spiritual leader, this unique political power would, as God's special representative, dominate every facet of human existence. Never-theless, Daniel chapters 7, 8, 11, and Revelation chapters 8-18 showcase this power actually as God's primary nemesis, and His enemy #1. Rather than being God's channel for blessing humanity, it would be Satan's medium for destroying the Earth.

"They that see thee [Lucifer] shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; that made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?" (Isa. 14:16,17).

But, Satan has an accomplice for destroying the world--that accomplice is us. God would never allow the devils to destroy His people unless they chose to put their most implicit trust in Satan instead of in their holy Redeemer. But, perpetual idolatry and worshiping Satan have made the human race complicit in its own destruction. "The inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication." (Rev. 17:2).

And if the world wants to be drunken, then it cannot serve Jehovah in holiness and sobriety. "But," Peter's injunction to the church since its beginning has been, "the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer." (1Pet. 4:7).

If their prayers to the Holy One come from the deranged, self-indulged spirit of them who knew better, then He will not listen.

"And the Lord spake unto Aaron, saying, Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations: and that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean." (Lev. 10:8-10).

This pronouncent resulted from Aaron's two eldest sons dying from the Lord's wrath because they experimented with worship in conjunction with a mind-altering drug, in this case, alcohol. They knew better than to approach God with irreverent derangement and foolish play.

The condemnation of the world at the end is that the "peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues" (Rev. 17:15) of lost humanity are drunken with Magna Mater, the Queen of heaven. In ancient Rome Magna Mater was Diana, the multitudinous breasted goddess "whom all Asia and the world worshippeth". (Acts 19:27). Today Mary gets the title, Queen of heaven. As with the nations around the world ever since Nimrod instituted paganism, Mary (Magna Mater), the goddess of Catholicism, and God the Holy Spirit, the Magna Mater goddess of Protestantism, both goddesses being one and the same only gracious and adored Magna Mater mother of God, offer a doctrinal intoxication that goes deeper, and is longer lasting, than any chemical intoxication.

Beliefs create their own chemical in the brain. Truth re-engineers the mind with chemicals that create the fruits of the Spirit, hope, love, joy, peace, patience, meekness, etc. Pagan doctrines produce lawless chemicals, animosity, arrogance, distrust, unrest, etc. False hope, which is based on promises of God's grace while denying the fulfillment of the condition of heeding His condemnation of sin, receives no comforting reconciled Spirit from God. The grace of God comes only through the narrow gate of condemnation of sins.

"For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth.

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the Father chasteneth not?

But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons." (Heb. 12:6-8).

Yet, the whole religious world follows the universally held lawless and pernicious tradition of demon invention.

It was for worshiping the Trinity god and it's pleasing doctrines of grace without truth, that Jehovah pronounced the following curses that would end in His wrath.

"The Lord shall thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:

And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.

Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.

Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.

Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in thine hand.

The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:

So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see...." (Deut. 28:28-34).

"The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.

He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail." (Vs. 43,44).

"Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded thee:

And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.

Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;

Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and He shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until He have destroyed thee." (Vs. 45-48).

The third angel's message of the Old Testament shows God's wrath upon ancient Israel for getting drawn into the intoxication of serving lawless, celebrating worship to devils.

"Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the Lord our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;

And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:

The Lord will not spare him, but then the anger of the Lord and His jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the Lord shall blot out his name from under heaven...." (Deut. 29:18-20).

Such a reckless person or people would reap more than an earful of divine anger, they would reap endless Sodom-like destruction by Jehovah departing from them, and demons taking up residence in their souls, as we still learn of today at the Dead Sea, almost four thousand years after wicked Sodom's destruction.

And all the passersby exclaim concerning that individual or family or tribe, "The whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the Lord overthrew in his anger, and in His wrath." (Vs. 23).

"When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be unto this perverse generation." (Matt. 12:43-44).

In the end, souls will be dominated by a spiritual legion that won't let go or let up its hold on them. The honeymoon of sweet nothings is over. The intoxicating lawless grace ends in a most horrific nightmarish hangover, the world over. Tiny in comparison to today's billions was divine wrath upon the post-flood generation that began paganism at Babel. Gigantic will be the wrath upon the coming worldwide drunken deep dive into the most extreme, yearned for lawlessness.

Now, on a much grander scale, a similar discomfiting and confusion of faces will create a delerium and wretchedness, that no one beforehand can comprehend or fathom. Enabling, lawless Ashtoreth will turn into a tyrannical Baal. The voice of gracious, lawless Mary paves the way for a furious, abusive Ba-Allah Jesus.

Because Jehovah has been written off and kicked out of the soul, wrath from the demons, will then dominate humanity's thoughts without reprieve. And they will have no rest. Jehovah claims responsibility for the demonic takeover only because He controls the liberties conferred to the devils and He retains ultimately responsibility for anything that happens in the universe.

"And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name." (Rev. 14:9-11).

In total disavowal of God's claims on His children, they will be at war with Him in their conscience. His words, His presence will receive the same disconserted exasperation that demoniacs had whenever Jesus came near.

The New Testament third angel's message, like its Old Testament version, shows the same "fire and brimstone", smoke and burning. But it's jealousy; it's the righteous outrage of a huge Father of love whose children were abducted and re-educated to distrust and hate Him. How can He let those propagandized agents of His arch enemy enter eternal life? Those workers of iniquity would forever harrass, terrorize, and assassinate the children who love Him.

Thus, the first world nations, at the end will see all the good life disappear, and the easy times from enslaving the third world masses, ease and convenience which they hoped would continue for many millennia, will turn into oppression. All the curses of Deuteronomy 28, which will flow from the goodness of the God of unchanging love, will not lead them to repent. He will give them only the oppression that He allowed them to give His children for their purification. "He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger" (Isa. 14:6), will turn on his taskmasters.

But, as the last plagues fall, this generation will become increasingly determinedly resistant to God.

"And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.... And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds." (Rev. 16:1,2,10,11).

"And the nations were angry, and Thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that Thou shouldest give reward unto Thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear Thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in His temple the ark of His testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail." (Rev. 11:18,19).

Insidious union of diabolical forces to desolate humanity

"And out of one of [the four winds] came forth a little horn..." (Dan. 8:9).

"I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things." (Dan. 7:8).

"And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand." (Dan. 8:24,25).

"And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant....

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown....

But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt." (Dan. 11:21,22,40,41,43).

"All nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies." (Rev. 18:3).

"And the nations were angry." (Rev. 11:18).

This video is the most comprehensive exposure of Covid-19 and the larger picture involved in it. It's a two hour video, but it's jam-packed with information on all the groups working in perfect unity. It is general in nature because a detailed report would require many hours. But please watch it, even in small segments if need be.  May the video go viral.

Identical to Bible prophecy, the kings of the earth (political world leaders, high ranking appointed leaders in certain government departments, policy makers at the head of controlling entities), and the merchants of the earth (corporations, foundations, media moguls, pharmaceutical companies, military industry contractors, etc.) are in bed with powerful, totalitarian religion (the Vatican, her Jesuit army, the apostate Protestant denominations, other world religions).

"And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt." (Dan. 11:40-43).

This longest prophecy from the book of Daniel is very complicated. It can be understood only by laying it over the previous three prophecies in his book, in chapters 2,7, and 8, especially chapter 8. The prophecies of chapters 2 and 7 have much in common, and delineate the four great empires, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome.

And the prophecies of chapters 8 and 11 described the last three empires, since both prophecies looked beyond Babylon's corrupted and final administration. And the last prophecy, chapter 11, came after Babylon had fallen, and consequently no longer needed any look at Babylon.

The visions of chapters 8 and 11 have three common points that are unique to them, and distinct from the prophecies of chapters 2 and 7. 1) An apparently peace-loving, friendly kingdom that was actually occultic and fierce, and its strategy of conquest by deceptive political intrigue (Dan. 8:25; 11:21); 2) Michael "the Prince" being toppled from His position as the mighty God as well as His sanctuary propitiation for fallen man being obfuscated  (Dan. 8:11; 11:22), and 3) the arrogating, blasphemous king's attracting Jehovah's mighty and holy people for the abomination of desolation set up to worship Satan by his spirit of deception instead of God by His Spirit of truth (Dan. 8:13; 11:30,31), and His Word written in His bride's heart and mind, (which Jesus called the "holy place" in Matthew 24:15). Later, the same angelic mediator, Gabriel, was sent to John as he had been to Daniel, and clarified the vision by giving it the heavenly/spiritual context. That is, the Prince, His sanctuary, and their provocator, were no longer to be understood as earthly military campaign representations, but as a real, spiritual war that would subjugate the church via Antichrist's twisting of biblical doctrine, overthrowing Christ and His great act of propitiating the King at Calvary.

"And there was war in heaven: Michael and His angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." (Rev. 12:7-12).

The great deceiver would deceive the whole world through their conscience. The battlefield of the warfare would be the spirit in the human mind. Satan would be baptized after the modern order of the things. He would take Christ's position as Spirit of truth and Comforter. Satan would place himself as the church's teacher and redeemer. More effectively than any political tyranny over people's bodies, this spiritual/religious regime would hold the people spellbound body, mind, and soul. It would make merchandise of "gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and ... slaves [bodies], and souls [spirituality] of men." (Rev. 18:12,13).

But in Daniel chapter 11 we hear of "treasures", as in hidden vaults, i.e. treasuries. In a real-life, modern, tangible takeover, monetary wealth will be a key instrument of power. 9/11, 2008, welfare paid out of the Social Security fund, stimulus checks, have systematically emptied America's pots of gold. "The merchants of the earth have grown rich through the abundants of her delicacies."

Our pots of gold have been spent on wars against invisible enemies, organized terrorism, organized street drugs, organized plandemics.... Who holds the liquid wealth of of the nations will play big on the final victory for global governance.

America's voting system crumbling--Why?

"And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field....

The Lord shall open unto thee His good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them." (Deuteronomy 28:1-3, 12-14).

This and the verses in between described a beautiful Protestant America at its beginning. God gave us liberty because we honored Him and His covenant of Law and grace. But the churches have left the Reformation covenant. Instead of hoping in the Prince of peace and never-forsaking Father, we hoped in the land that He gave us for the fidelity of our Reformation forefathers. Now, just like Israel of old, we have kicked our God out of our lives.

"So the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.

He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and He made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.

But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation...." (Deut. 32:12-15).

This was a song that Jesus inspired Moses to write and to "put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel." (Deut. 31:19). Hasn't Jesus' new covenant, "better covenant" (Heb. 8:6), been treated with the same distaste by His church? Has our track record been better than that of ancient Israel?

So, now after generations of apostasy and departure from loving the truth in His whole Bible, we are seeing the final end of a long erosion of the original peace and prosperity that gave us so much opportunity for rejoicing before the Lord our God, the God of the Protestants Reformation who delivered us from the Roman Papacy.

Representation makes America a Republic, not a Democracy. Democracy tends toward dictatorship and despotism. But the only way representation and a Republic can avoid despotism is for its constituents to be tolerant and self-governing, which our God gives us. A narcissistic, self-serving society can never manage a free nation. Therefore, no such society deserves to be free.

But, now that we have cut Jesus out of our lives we no longer know His justice and mercy. His character is no longer our standard of life. David rejoiced, "Thy gentleness hath made me great." (Psa. 18:35).

"For who is God save [Jehovah]? or who is a rock save our God?

It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.

He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

Thou hast also given me the shield of Thy salvation: and Thy right hand hath holden me up, and Thy gentleness hath made me great." (Psa. 18:31-35).

But today we have lost our gentleness. Torture is part of Presidential policy. How much longer before our nation is doing the very oppression that characterized the Imperial Roman Republic? And how much longer before we cut the last strands of the cord that Providence lowered to us when we were fleeing from the Jesuits of the Counter-Reformation? To lose our God is to lose our protection, our prosperity, and our liberty.

There should be no doubt that after three centuries of being influenced by the goodness of Jehovah, that our providentially provided refuge from Jesuit persecution, according to Revelation 12:15,16, the quiet and comparably safe American wilderness, left our people desiring a peace-loving and gentle Constitution. It's not because we were British descendants, or inherited a peace chromosome. Americans had a hodge-podge pedigree. Protestant America was a melting pot of many cultures. It's because we were far from Rome, both doctrinally and physically, and the Bible had been our guide for almost 300 years during our colonial period, that we ended up peace-loving.

"O generation, see ye the word of the Lord. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are lords; we will come no more unto thee?" (Jer. 2:31).

Now that we feel big and wise enough to manage ourselves without any of God's help, and He has let go of the reigns in deference to our desires, who has come to govern our nation in His place? The organization that persecuted our godly forefathers, our old enemy from the Dark Ages, whose sole purpose to exist was (and still is) to destroy Protestantism, its Protestant form of government, its holy Textus Receptus KJV Bible, and its Protestant people.

Read what John Adams wrote to Thomas Jefferson two years after the great 1814 Congress of Vienna:

"I do not like the late Resurrection of the Jesuits. They have a General, now in Russia, in correspondence with the Jesuits in the U.S. who are more numerous than every body knows. Shall We not have Swarms of them here? as many Shapes and disguises as ever a King of the Gypsies, Bamfied More Carew himself, assumed? In the shape of Printers, Editors, Writers School masters &c. I have lately read Pascalls Letters over again, and four Volumes of the History of the Jesuits. If ever any Congregation of Men could merit, eternal Perdition on Earth and in Hell; according to these Historians though like Pascall true Catholicks, it is this Company of Loiola. Our System however of Religious Liberty must afford them an Assylum. But if they do not put Purity of our Elections to a Severe Tryal, it will be a Wonder.

                                  J. Adams"

What does the president's last sentence, his grand finale, unveil concerning the very heart of our U S. Constitution? It would be a wonder if the innumerable army of Ignatius Loyola, the Jesuit Order, doesn't put to a severe trial the purity of our election system! What did he and President Jefferson know that we don't? Who should we fear, as much as did their generation? That generation was more knowledgeable of, and therefore, attuned to, the dangers to constitutional government by the machinations of the Jesuit order. In 1816 the order had just recently been reinstated from its eternal dissolution because of its history of non-stop political intrigue.

The top secret Papacy-Monarchy Congress of Vienna, the first of three, held in Vienna Austria, began a centuries-long attack on America and on all free, popular governments that began to follow America's lead. (Please see https://amazingdiscoveries.org/CHAPTER-1-TARGET-AMERICA)

Does not this "Holy" Alliance explain President Adams' fears? The above link takes you to the book by Bill Hughes, Secret Terrorists. It is a small, quick read that helps explain who is behind the massive changes that have taken place in our free nation. The new mentality that the media has drilled into American brains concerning conspiracy theories have been actual, real conspiracies. They have not been inventions of kooks, all along.

But the onus is on us, former Protestant America. We, like ancient Israel, have "waxed fat", as a society and a nation, and have "kicked". That phrase pictures a goat kicking its owner. It's too late for our nation and all the other former Protestant nations. It took Providence centuries of difficulty, persecution, carnage to have a people who would treasure righteousness and freedom. There is no more time to discipline another nation. But there's still hope to turn to the Lord for individuals among the formerly Protestant nations. A loose federation of willing, humbled servants of the God of salvation will come out of the woodwork within every country.

The desolation is on the way, fired by the wrath of God. Plague after plague. Captivity after captivity. The coming wickedness will make Hitler Germany, and Stalinist and Maoist Communism, look tame. And no one gets raptured out of it.

A rapture fraud is highly likely, but even then we are all left behind! And such a deception, for which the Jesuits have a long resume and reputation, would cause the chaos that would leverage the global subjugation. Deception is the order of the day, "all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." (2Thess. 2:9,10).

So, the world and the ex-Protestant Americans will repeat the history of the Babylonians conquering the Jews in 606 BC. Just read Lamentations for an idea of your future--that is, if you sleep on until it hits.

But if you sigh and cry to Jehovah for the abominations taking place, and speak out like Jeremiah, who wept often for the troubles that his warnings caused him. But, Jesus gave him the precious promise, "Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction." (Jer. 15:11).

The trouble has been on the way for awhile. So, today make Jehovah your refuge. Make a vow, and pledge your whole heart's service to Him and to all who He is seeking to save. He will get up to speed. He can keep us from falling and make us presentable to His Father. But all who will refuse to serve Him will suffer more than those who will be persecuted.

"Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.

All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.

The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.

He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.

Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:

And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.

Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;

Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

The Lord shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;

A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young...." (Deut. 28:41-50).

The little horn is halfway to heaven

"...toward the four winds of heaven. And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven." (Dan. 8:8-10).

The little horn, which came out of one of the four winds, would be fatally wounded and put down by Providence and His Bible. But, before it would die, a great healer, through "great wonders" (Rev. 13:14), would restore it to life and health and strength.

"And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." (Rev. 13:3).

Its head would not be severed, therefore it stood the chance to grow back into its former exaltation in the earth, and in its former despotism.

"And when they [the witnesses for Christ] shall have finished their [42 month] testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them." (Rev. 11:7).

In 1849 the little horn adversary of God would be loosed from its divinely judged interment and, with a vengeance, reassume its earlier Dark Ages brutality and genocides, its corruption of faith and obedience in God's church, and its complete control of humanity's every move. But, how was it the victor over the Protestants' war against it? By laying an old trap inside the church.

"The great adversary now endeavored to gain by artifice what he had failed to secure by force. Persecution ceased, and in its stead were substituted the dangerous allurements of temporal prosperity and worldly honor. Idolaters were led to receive a part of the Christian faith, while they rejected other essential truths. They professed to accept Jesus as the Son of God and to believe in His death and resurrection, but they had no conviction of sin and felt no need of repentance or of a change of heart. With some concessions on their part they proposed that Christians should make concessions, that all might unite on the platform of belief in Christ." Great Controversy, p. 42.

Have we seen the slackening of primitive godliness among the Protestant churches since the end of the Papal persecutions? And again among the Seventh-day Adventists after the revivals of William Miller in 1844?

"The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is." (Rev. 17:8).

Isn't it almost here? Hasn't the Protestants' faith come under attack for the past 150 years, not by a rogue scientific system, but by scientists that have all been propagandized by the beast's Jesuit deceivers from the bottomless pit?

Hasn't the infamous abomination that maketh desolate the mighty and holy Protestant people all but placed himself in their God's stead? He has sent the thinking Protestants off in the direction of hopeless atheism, and sent the non-thinking Protestants off in the opposite direction of religious foolishness and madness.

"The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?" (Jer. 5:31).

"And He said, I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith." (Deut. 32:20).
