Reaching across the abyss

“And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2Thess. 2:8-12).

For some time now I have felt impressed to merge the last day events, which Jesus gave us through Ellen White, with the seven year Pre-tribulation Secret Rapture scenario. This may sound like mixing apples and oranges, and some may even call it eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But, here is my rationale for doing this.

In 1590 a brilliant Jesuit doctor of theology, Francisco Ribera, wrote a thesis on Revelation that would move all biblical prophecy into the future. He thus redirected the focus of Revelation’s Anti-christ away from the Roman Catholic papacy and placed that focus on a single male, “the man of sin”. The papacy would no longer be Satan’s number one earthly agency. In his thesis Francisco Ribera had to manipulate Bible prophecy, cutting off the last prophetic week of the 70 week messianic prophecy that pointed to the year of Christ’s first coming to begin His ministry to redeem the family of Adam. That last prophetic week of seven literal years Mr. Ribera then applied to the very end of time before Christ’s second coming. Thus was born the theory of a last day seven year tribulation period. It required complete dishonesty with the very Word of God. He fulfilled a condemnation that was first laid against the apostate Jews of Paul’s day. “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.” (Rom. 1:18). And over time the Jesuits, “with all deceivableness of unrighteousness” (2Thess. 2:10), have successfully convinced almost the whole of Protestantism to believe the unbiblical secret rapture interpretation of Revelation, this masterpiece of deception. It is an interpretation that the Reformation fathers never knew and would have vigorously opposed.

Please consider this, if Satan has invested so much time and energy and success into this falsification of the Bible, why would he not use this falsehood in the end? Is there any question that we are at the end? There shouldn’t be. How many more bombings and shootings and other organized acts of systematic dismemberment of constitutional government do we need to be convinced that the end has come? The Protestant churches have officially clasped hands with the Roman papacy. The next day the victory was celebrated with terrorism in New York City.

“In the movements now in progress in the United States to secure for the institutions and usages of the church the support of the state, Protestants are following in the steps of papists. Nay, more, they are opening the door for the papacy to regain in Protestant America the supremacy which she has lost in the Old World.” Great Controversy, p. 573.

“Charles Beecher, in a sermon in the year 1846, declared that the ministry of ‘the evangelical Protestant denominations’ is ‘not only formed all the way up under a tremendous pressure of merely human fear, but they live, and move, and breathe in a state of things radically corrupt, and appealing every hour to every baser element of their nature to hush up the truth, and bow the knee to the power of apostasy. Was not this the way things went with Rome? Are we not living her life over again? And what do we see just ahead?  Another general council! A world's convention! Evangelical alliance, and universal creed!’--Sermon on ‘The Bible a Sufficient Creed,’ delivered at Fort Wayne, Indiana, Feb. 22, 1846. When this shall be gained, then, in the effort to secure complete uniformity, it will be only a step to the resort to force.  

     When the leading churches of the United States, uniting upon such points of doctrine as are held by them in common, shall influence the state to enforce their decrees and to sustain their institutions, then Protestant America will have formed an image of the Roman hierarchy, and the infliction of civil penalties upon dissenters will inevitably result.” Ibid., p. 444,445.

“Through the two great errors, the immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions. While the former lays the foundation of spiritualism, the latter creates a bond of sympathy with Rome. The Protestants of the United States will be foremost in stretching their hands across the gulf to grasp the hand of spiritualism; they will reach over the abyss to clasp hands with the Roman power; and under the influence of this threefold union, this country will follow in the steps of Rome in trampling on the rights of conscience.  

     As spiritualism more closely imitates the nominal Christianity of the day, it has greater power to deceive and ensnare. Satan himself is converted, after the modern order of things. He will appear in the character of an angel of light. Through the agency of spiritualism, miracles will be wrought, the sick will be healed, and many undeniable wonders will be performed. And as the spirits will profess faith in the Bible, and manifest respect for the institutions of the church, their work will be accepted as a manifestation of divine power.  

     The line of distinction between professed Christians and the ungodly is now hardly distinguishable. Church members love what the world loves and are ready to join with them, and Satan determines to unite them in one body and thus strengthen his cause by sweeping all into the ranks of spiritualism. Papists, who boast of miracles as a certain sign of the true church, will be readily deceived by this wonder-working power; and Protestants, having cast away the shield of truth, will also be deluded. Papists, Protestants, and worldlings will alike accept the form of godliness without the power, and they will see in this union a grand movement for the conversion of the world and the ushering in of the long-expected millennium.  

     Through spiritualism, Satan appears as a benefactor of the race, healing the diseases of the people, and professing to present a new and more exalted system of religious faith; but at the same time he works as a destroyer. His temptations are leading multitudes to ruin. Intemperance dethrones reason; sensual indulgence, strife, and bloodshed follow. Satan delights in war, for it excites the worst passions of the soul and then sweeps into eternity its victims steeped in vice and blood. It is his object to incite the nations to war against one another, for he can thus divert the minds of the people from the work of preparation to stand in the day of God.  

     Satan works through the elements also to garner his harvest of unprepared souls. He has studied the secrets of the laboratories of nature, and he uses all his power to control the elements as far as God allows. When he was suffered to afflict Job, how quickly flocks and herds, servants, houses, children, were swept away, one trouble succeeding another as in a moment. It is God that shields His creatures and hedges them in from the power of the destroyer. But the Christian world have shown contempt for the law of Jehovah; and the Lord will do just what He has declared that He would--He will withdraw His blessings from the earth and remove His protecting care from those who are rebelling against His law and teaching and forcing others to do the same. Satan has control of all whom God does not especially guard. He will favor and prosper some in order to further his own designs, and he will bring trouble upon others and lead men to believe that it is God who is afflicting them.

     While appearing to the children of men as a great physician who can heal all their maladies, he will bring disease and disaster, until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation. Even now he is at work. In accidents and calamities by sea and by land, in great conflagrations, in fierce tornadoes and terrific hailstorms, in tempests, floods, cyclones, tidal waves, and earthquakes, in every place and in a thousand forms, Satan is exercising his power. He sweeps away the ripening harvest, and famine and distress follow. He imparts to the air a deadly taint, and thousands perish by the pestilence. These visitations are to become more and more frequent and disastrous. Destruction will be upon both man and beast. ‘The earth mourneth and fadeth away,’ ‘the haughty people . . . do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.’ Isaiah 24:4, 5.” Ibid., p. 588,589.

A few days ago, on Halloween, when all the secular Americans were delighting in practicing a benign pagan holiday and the religious Americans were delighting in the hope of a brighter future for a united Christianity, the Protestant churches officially clasped hands with the Roman power. The denominations sold their Reformation birthright and turned back to perdition like a dog turning back to its vomit. They apologized for all the tens of millions of deaths they caused by the martyrs who stood for the Bible. They accepted all the blame for modern fanatics, like Jim Jones and the like, who recklessly led multitudes into their temporal and eternal destruction. The Protestant Evangelicals sought the pope’s pardon for all the trouble they caused the “Holy Father”. The next day the fireworks in New York City indicate what the Vatican’s Jesuit have planned for the world. Those devious terrorists of all terrorism will quickly bring Protestant America to its knees, secular and religious Americans, groveling begging for the pope to pray to Mary for another year of mercy. The Protestant baton has just passed into Catholic hands. Protestantism has fallen, has fallen. The world, which God has protected from satanic despotism for over 200 years through Protestantism, has fallen back into the power of Satan.

All that we have read about in the Spirit of Prophecy has proven itself trustworthy, whether it were doctrine, counsels on health and diet, counsels for the church and the family, warnings of the deceptions of Satan, etc. Despite the furious attacks against her, all of Ellen White’s writings have demonstrated their credibility. All have shown that the Spirit of Prophecy speaks the truth of God’s word. All have brought out of the scriptures what we were incapable of discerning for ourselves. The balanced view of eternal realities that Mrs. White promulgated has had its influence for good upon the world, and has spared the Advent movement from fanaticism.

I am not seditious against my country. I am not politically opposed to our president. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of spiritual wickedness in high places. I am not attempting a coupe. But, the direction that this nation has been going for the past 150 years points to its ultimate union with the Church of Rome for her final conquest of the world for Satan. She has always used a secular (vulgar) nation to cause her domination over the world. 70 years ago the conquest was attempted by Adolph Hitler, but Providence kept to His prophetic plan of Protestant America being the world power to reinstate the papacy, in accordance with Revelation 13:11-17. I have nothing personally against our current president, but I do have much against the foreign power of Rome to install her men into the highest office of this once free Protestant nation and its once fair government. I love my country, that is, I love the country that we started out to be. The Lord of hosts fought for our behalf during the Revolutionary War and in the War of 1812. Now He is fighting against us. We abandoned His Reformation covenant. We abandoned His holy Book. We abandoned faith in Him, opting for faith in man. There is nothing left He can do with Protestant America. Plus, it is time for the great controversy to end. As of Halloween the final showdown has begun.

We will all be participants. None of us will be a spectator. Time will soon tell who fortified his mind with the words of scripture. The great Judge of all the earth will force everyone to choose between being an oppressor or being the oppressed, a persecutor or the persecuted. There will no longer be a fence to sit on. The Protestant-Roman clasping of hands has finalized our sale to the enemy of souls. We have tied the Lord’s hands in this world’s soon destruction. But, there will be a greater glory ahead for all who will patiently endure the final trials. And we have Jesus’ promises, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).

Jesus told us that the end had to come sooner or later. Why not sooner than later? There is nothing to fear for those who have established a valid relationship with the mighty Cleaver of truth and the mighty Comforter of hearts. Jesus will hold our hand and guide us through the final stages of Earth’s history. Jesus gave us these exceeding great and precious promises, “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.” (Isa. 45:7).

“But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

Since thou wast precious in My sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.” (Isa. 43:1-4). “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.” (Ps. 23:4).

So, whether or not you agree with me, I have put together a scenario of what Jesus has told us what to expect, through the writings of Ellen White, and I have fused it with the seven year rapture theory. The dates are all speculative and should not be bet on. Please don’t make that mistake. Cursed is the man who trusts in man (in this case, me). Date-setting is never right. I have simply used my own personal input based on what I’ve been seeing in the world over the years. Forgive me if it seems I’ve gone too far in choosing exact days for the major events, but those dates seemed logical to me. You can do what you want with the dates, but what I am encouraging you to do is to consider the overall seven year Secret Rapture construct and its tribulation that follows, known as the Pre-trib Secret Rapture. Be cautious with what I have put together. Be suspicious. Be discerning. I’m not betting on the dates. But, I can’t get away from the thought that Satan will use this secret rapture deception as the framework of his final masterpiece of delusion. Somehow the devil must use the seven year period for sweeping the whole world into his spiritualism. I’m only offering this post as an option to expect and to look for in the closing days, if in fact the seven year Pre-trib Rapture scenario is implemented.

I have used two major pagan holidays that come down from time immemorial, the spring and autumn equinoxes, i.e. respectively, Easter (the worship of life and the living), and All Hallow’s Eve, Halloween (the worship of death and the dead). Two versions of this end-time table come from using either of the two major spiritualistic festivals to begin the seven year framework, to form the mid-point of the period, and finally the framework’s end-point.

Eat mor chikin and vote for Mrs. Clinton

I’m not a political person. I see no difference between either Democrat or Republican party. From each, all the promises for change end in the same agenda of spreading the American business empire through the tax-payers’ uniformed services, at the cost of lives and limbs. At the same time, every stone is left un-turned to further gut our Bill of Rights. The 2nd Amendment will fall. Guns will go away. Dictatorship will reign in this very country that at its beginning led the world in free government. Every hope of freedom around the world will vanish. Total totalitarianism will make the old USSR look tame. Hitler Germany will look friendly.

This blog is dedicated not to political science, which I know very little about, but to warning about the coming times of trouble. Those who will be busy sharing the Bible’s prophetic warnings will be speaking for the omniscient One. His representatives don’t have to know every landmine of the political science battlefield in order to go where He sends them and to speak what He tells them.

Rule #1. The religio-political Church of Rome is the diabolical power over the whole world. “And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.” (Rev. 17:18).

“BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” (Rev. 17:5). “With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” (Rev. 17:2).

Jesus forewarned that the greatest will be the least in the kingdom of God. What does that mean for John Paul the Great when the Lord comes to battle for His planet? What does it mean for Babylon the Great? What will that mean for a world-wide population who have bowed to the papal regime?

“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.” (Rev. 19:20).

The Church of Rome left its first love 1900 years ago, and Jesus took away His Spirit from them (see Revelation 2:5). Soon afterward it depended on Imperial power, political power, legislative power to shepherd its flock.

Rule #2. Protestantism no longer protests against the abominable paganism of the Romish Church, as it did in the Reformation. Just like every other false prophet that spoke for Baal rather than for Jehovah, the Protestant church no longer stands as a valid witness for the government of heaven. The Protestants have abandoned their original covenant with the Lord, and He is giving them over to their old adversary from the Dark Ages. Thus, Protestantism is the false prophet of Revelation 13 and 19. Protestantism is now involving itself in the same political maneuvering which has always characterized the Church of Rome—the Imperial power, political power, legislative power to force-shepherd its flock, the imperious forehead.

“Behold, therefore I have stretched out My hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.

Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.

Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.

How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman; in that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire; but as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband!” (Eze. 16:27-32).

Protestants are the new virgins following after the great whore, and following after Spiritual Formation, which seeks to make connection with God while denying Him authority to condemn their sins by His Law. Denying God authority to condemn sin is nothing other than spiritualism and anathema to God in the highest degree. The unpardonable sin doesn’t come to those who seek His face for a grace that includes Law-enforcement, but to those who seek lawless familiar spirits and Satan’s face for grace and undue familiarity.

The Protestant Reformers saw in Revelation 13 vision that the first Beast arising from the sea was the Roman Papacy coming up from a string of pagan empires culminating in Imperial Rome, and that the Dragon (Satan) gave the Roman Hierarchy its power, its throne, and its great authority over the earth. But those Reformation fathers couldn’t understand the second beast of the vision, which was a beast with peaceful lamb-like horns, and spoke like a dragon. It resembled an earlier beast in the Revelation vision: a Lamb that had been slain (see Revelation 5:6) with great spiritual power and discernment, and which spoke like a Lion. The second beast of Revelation 13, at first, resembled Christ, the Saviour of men and the King of kings. It would come up after the first Beast would fall by the sword of the Spirit. But, after the second peaceful beast came up from the earth, it spoke like the Dragon (Satan), meaning the second beast would become possessed of the devil, and be made a religio-political image of the first Beast.

Protestant America grew up with the Protestant Bible. By its peace-giving Protestant religion and its civil Constitution, it began its mission of bearing an embassage of peace to the world. But, today it bears an embassage of war to the whole world. It sits quietly, yet with satellite intensity, overseeing every square inch of Earth like the Imperial Roman Senate watched over the Mediterranean Sea and its coastal nations. Protestant civil America is the second beast of Revelation 13. It began with such beauty and promise, but it is coming to its gruesome demise by abandoning its Protestant roots and returning to Mother Rome. Thus, it repeats the career of Balaam and all of ancient Israel’s prophets of Baal. Soon, Rome, through the Protestant denominations, will be the power of Protestant Inquisition that reigns over the American government and its policies, and over the whole world to enforce the United Nations agendas.

Blog reader, keep rules #1 and #2 ever before your thinking. Let rules #1 and #2 be the glasses that you use to interpret current events. Nothing is real except what the Bible says would happen. Believe nothing you see or hear unless Bible prophecy helped you understand that it is to come. Donald Trump may be the coming Anti-christ, but he is not the real dictator, as he has made everyone to believe. Hillary Clinton will be the dictator, the Jesuit Vatican will be the Anti-christ, and Christian America will be the false prophet. Mrs. Clinton will be the visible representative of Christian America who will clasp hands with the visible head of the first Beast of Revelation 13. That Beast is the same Revelation 17:8,11 Beast that “was, is not, yet is”, the eighth head of the beast that ascended out of the bottomless pit and will go into perdition (i.e. take the whole world into total perversion, the abomination of desolation). She will re-establish the abomination that maketh desolate. The Vatican Beast’s handshake will leave a mark on the hand of everyone who strikes a deal with him. The adoption of his Spiritual Formation, which was created and managed for almost 500 years by the Jesuits, will leave an indelible impression in the thinking of everyone who is trapped in devil oppression and possession by lawless Spiritual Formation.

In order to make the real dictator look extra civil, the “powers that be” needed the real dictator’s competitor to appear like a true dictator. He had to look and sound more extreme in appearance and in persona than the real dictator. That would scare everyone away from him and into Mrs. Clinton’s camp. But, she is the real dictator.

The “powers that be” never chose Donald Trump to be dictator of the United States. The powers that be selected him to pretend to hold that office. Simultaneously, they trained him to be super-bombastic, super-sword jangling, super-intimidating to the other Republican contenders, wielding a wallet that had no bottom in order to clear the field of candidates for president, so that Mrs. Clinton could be swept into office by a wide margin. When she crosses the finish line, through a series of orchestrated events, Mr. Trump will be miles behind. And behind him, of course, there will be no other contenders.

[Editing this post again, with March 2020 hindsight, shows my first prediction to be premature. We know that Mrs. Clinton, of course, lost the race. But, I want to stress that the final throes of constitutional, old world order America are not yet finished, and the Vatican does not yet own the world. Nevertheless, Protestant America will go down because we have abandoned our Reformation God and all of His holy standards. Therefore, the Jesuit Vatican will reign over the world, and we have more to see from Mrs. Clinton leading Christian America being the latest replacement for Charlemagne leading France as the eldest son of the Church.]

Mrs. Clinton will be a shoo-in. From the start, her agenda-media makers created the illusion of an mature and wise, middle of the road democratic platform between potential socialism from one prime candidate and potential Nazism from the other. The field has been plowed to both sides for her to run down the middle for a landslide score.

Eat mor chikin, says the subtle Trump-Rome team. Buy more Clinton, don’t buy any hysterical Trump. Spend all your money and votes to install Mrs. Clinton. Put all your hopes in the Methodist and Democratic, mother and wife, wizened yet energetic Mrs. Clinton whose boss is the avenging Roman Senate.

Since a year and a half ago when I wrote the prediction of September 12, 2016, entitled, “Eat mor chikin and vote for Mrs. Clinton”, I have come to see things differently. I still hold to the idea that Mrs. Clinton will sit in the White House and bring in the abomination of desolation, as I wrote 18 months ago. But, now I see the need to watch for a seven year scenario that will sweep Mrs. Clinton into office, and also send many Protestant Americans into hysteria and to completely abandon every principle of our Constitution. They may look American, but their fears of fulfilled pseudo prophecy will create a narrow, determined loyalty to the only apparently sane voices in the world—the kindly Vicar of Christ who has been restored to world dominance, and a grandmotherly Madam President who mimics Queen Elizabeth.

Later I wrote a post on Sunday, November 5, 2017 entitled, “Reaching across the abyss”, which used the Pre-trib Secret Rapture seven year tribulation scenario as a viable structure for the final “strong delusion” that “God shall…send…that they should believe a lie.” (2Thess. 2:11). That second post from November past shuffled the Adventist true eschatology together with the Evangelical’s beloved unbiblical, eschatological falsehood that came from the Jesuits. While the collated deck of Protestant and Adventist end-time chronologies seems to be the most plausible expectation to consider, I continue to warn readers of that post to be wary of the dates I set. That warning should always remain a concern.

Having done some rethinking, I have made changes to the September 12, 2016 post, and drastically, as a result of the national election on November 8 and in combination with the new thought based on the Pre-trib Secret Rapture/seven year Tribulation scenario, which I wrote about on November 5, 2017. In 2016 I expected Mrs. Clinton to be installed for the final union of an American-Papal alliance. But, in the latter 2017 post I had to allow for Mr. Trump’s two term administration, and then I brought Mrs. Clinton into the Oval Office at that time to buttress the establishment of the abomination of desolation in 2025. 2025 would make her eight years older than the past national election, but I believe she will still have plenty of vitality to protect and preserve the new Constitution of the Vatican-United Nations New/One World Order.

I don’t mean to attempt crystal-ball predilections. But, I hold out the Secret Rapture/seven year Tribulation human construct as a strong possibility to watch for. Jesus called us to watch against deception. “Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Matt. 24:4, 5). And we know that the utmost testing deceptions will come to the whole world at the end. “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness.” (2Thess. 2:9,10). “What I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” (Mark 13:35-37).

Let’s not be taken by the meek and mild descent of Satan for his impersonation of Christ, the masterpiece of Satan’s deception.  And let us watch and be ready for the day when Jesus will return in power and great glory.

“And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:9-11).

“But Jesus held His peace. And the high priest answered and said unto Him, I adjure Thee by the living God, that Thou tell us whether Thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven…. Then did they spit in His face, and buffeted Him; and others smote Him with the palms of their hands, saying, Prophesy unto us, Thou Christ, Who is he that smote Thee?” (Matt. 26:63,64,67,68).

“And I beheld when He had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; and the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; and said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: for the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Rev. 6:12-17).

“Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.” (Rev. 1:7).

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matt. 24:29-31).

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” (2Pet. 3:10-13).

“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.” (1Thess. 5:1-11).
