The October migration: what might it mean to us today from the perspective of early Dark Ages history and
Revelation 13? That long line of people from Guatemala traveled to our southern
border, Protestant America’s border.
True, America is not 100%
Protestant. The proclamation was made a few years ago, “The protest is over;
Protestantism is fractured into 3,300 sects and denominations; its old enemy
from the Dark Ages is their friend now. To continue the old protest is to be
squabbling over nothing, immature children making a fuss. Half of America is
atheistic, secular, and drug-ridden, hedonistic and pagan. If not ¾ of America’s
population. You Protestants need to pull the log out of your own eye before you
point out the splinter in the Vatican’s eye!”
No, America isn’t all
Protestants, but its Constitution is Protestant, and so are its social mores.
Its Constitution—as yet—separates religion and state. To a large degree the
national conscience is still peaceful, even though something at the top is
rabidly voracious in the mutilation of its old order, like an auto-immune
disease on steroids attacking its host. Therefore, because America retains its
Protestant character, it must go. It must go away forever. Protestant America is
standing in the way of another world power, which is the Papacy’s new world
order. Yet, the picture is much bigger. Satan is on the move, to place his
favored earthly power back in dominion over the earth.
“And the beast which I saw
was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth
as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and
great authority.” (Rev. 13:2).
This harks back to a
conspicuously similar set of circumstances 15 centuries ago, a powerful religion
that moved toward darkness, which arose during the earliest days of
Christianity. I speak of the transition from Imperial pagan Rome to Imperial papal
Rome.
“And now ye know what
withholdeth [“withholds down”] that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:
only he who now letteth [“withholds down”] will let, until he be taken out of
the way.” (2Thess. 2:6,7).
Daniel,
Paul, and John gave both empires masculine pronouns because both would be
authoritative, powerful, political entities. “The dragon gave him his power,
and his seat, and great [big, high, fearful] authority.” (Rev. 13:2). It had
“eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great [domineering] things.”
(Dan. 7:8). “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things [big,
high, sorely fearful] and blasphemies… And he opened his mouth in blasphemy
[vilification, railing] against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle,
and them that dwell in heaven.” (Rev. 13:5,6).
Notice
the transition: “what [Imperial pagan Rome] withholdeth that he [Imperial papal
Rome] might be revealed in his time”; “he [Imperial pagan Rome] who now letteth
[withholds] will let, until he [Imperial pagan Rome] be taken out of the way”.
There
would be the restraining of a wrathful, surging spiritual nation. By virtue of
the presence of powerful, Imperial Rome, without knowing it was doing so, the
pagan empire would resist the encroaching replacement by persecuting Christians
until the day would come for it to finally give way to Imperial papal Rome.
“Rome had become the seat of
a Christian bishop before that date, and in the division and decay of the Roman
empire which soon followed, this bishop, owing to his metropolitan position,
became a person of great importance and the head of Latin Christianity. As other rulers passed away, and as the
power of Rome waned before the hordes of Gothic and Vandal invaders, the
Christian bishopric, sole survival of the old institutions in Rome, raised its
head like a rocky reef in the midst of a wild expanse of roaring billows. It
remained when all else failed around it. At first it had itself been a
small, weak, new thing under the shadow of a great, mighty, and ancient power.
But time brought changes, and gradually it became the stable, strong, and only
ancient thing in the midst of the turbulent young Gothic nations into which the
fragments of the old Roman dominions slowly crystallized. To these rude and recently evangelized people the Church of Rome was
naturally the mother Church, and the Bishop of Rome the chief of Christian
bishops. The tendency of the Latin episcopate thus enthroned in the old
metropolis of the world, in the midst of ignorant, superstitious, and childlike
Gothic nations, was to become first a monarchical, and then an imperial power.
This tendency was deep and enduring; it worked for centuries, till at last it
produced that singular blasphemous usurpation and tyrannical government which
we call the Papacy.
The rise of this power was,
like all great growths, gradual and slow. From the middle of the fifth century
to the end of the thirteenth รน i, e. for between eight and nine hundred years
it was steadily waxing greater and greater, rising higher and higher, reaching
forth its branches more widely, and making more extravagant claims and
pretensions. Time would of course fail me to trace the rise of ecclesiastical
power in the Middle Ages to the monstrous proportions it assumed in the
thirteenth century. After the conversion of Constantine, when Christianity
became the established religion of the Roman world, the Church passed rapidly
from a state of persecution, poverty, and distress to one of honor, wealth, and
ease; and it degenerated as rapidly from its early purity. Covetousness and
avarice came in like a flood, and ecclesiastical power became an object of
eager ambition, even to ungodly men. The bishop was a wealthy, influential,
worldly dignitary, instead of a humble Christian pastor. Opulence poured in
upon the priesthood, alike from the fears and the affections of their converts;
and their intellectual superiority over the barbarian nations had the effect of
increasing still more their ascendancy. The time came when they alone retained any semblance of learning, or could prepare a
treaty or write a document, or teach princes to read. By a variety of
sordid frauds they contrived to secure to the Church immense wealth and an
enormous share of the land. But they recognized their own subjection to the
secular power, and respected mutually each other’s independence. Claims to
supremacy over other bishops began however before long to be advanced by the
bishops of Rome, sometimes on one ground and sometimes on another, but it was
long before they were admitted.”

This fourth empire, Imperial
Rome that followed the Greek, Persian, and Babylonian empires, was the fourth in
the line of four beasts, a beast with a little horn that Daniel saw in his
prophetic dream.
“After this I saw in the
night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong
exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and
stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts
that were before it; and it had ten horns.
I considered the horns, and,
behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were
three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn
were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great [huge, domineering]
things.…
Then I would know the truth
of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful,
whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in
pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;
And of the ten horns that
were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell;
even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things,
whose look was more stout [chief, lord, master] than his fellows.
I beheld, and the same horn
made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;…
Thus he said, The fourth
beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all
kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break
it in pieces.
And the ten horns out of this
kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and
he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
And he shall speak great
words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High,
and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until
a time and times and the dividing of time [1,260 days/years].” (Dan.
7:7,8,19-21,23-25).
“Therefore the he goat waxed
very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came
up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
And out of one of them [the
four winds] came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the
south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.
And it waxed great, even to
the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the
ground, and stamped upon them.
Yea, he magnified himself
even to the Prince of the host, and by him the daily Sacrifice was taken away,
and the place of His sanctuary was cast down.
And an host was given him
against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the
truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.” (Dan. 8:8-12).
This fearful power that
overthrew Imperial Rome took Christianity captive and lorded over it, promoted
itself becoming “huge” and higher than heaven. While pretending to be
protecting the people of God, Satan led it to completely disregard, without the
slightest compunction to disregard, the injunctions of scripture, “My brethren,
be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.”
(Jas. 3:1).
“The elders which are among
you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ,
and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
Feed the flock of God which
is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly;
not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
Neither as being lords over
God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.” (1Pet. 5:1-3).
It not only didn’t feed the
flock of God with truth and grace, it purposefully took away the broken body of
Jesus and His crucifixion, and knowledge of His work to administer His
sacrifice before His Father. “By him the daily Sacrifice was taken away, and
the place of His sanctuary was cast down.”
“This supreme episcopal
jurisdiction led to constant interferences of the Roman bishop in the affairs
of the various nations of Christendom, and to ever-increasing pretensions to
authority in matters secular as well as ecclesiastical, until five hundred
years later, in A.D. 1073, Pope Gregory VII took a great stride in advance and
established
A THEOCRACY ON EARTH.
He was the first who claimed,
as the representative of Deity, to be above all the kings of the world. This
proud and self-exalting man strove, and strove successfully, not only to
emancipate the spiritual power from all control by the State, not only to
secure for it absolute independence, but, further, to subject the secular power
of princes to the spiritual power of priests, and thus to establish at Rome in
his own person and in the succession of the Roman pontiffs an absolute and
supreme ruler of the world. Nor did he propound this new and startling doctrine
as a theory only. With daring and audacity he excommunicated the German emperor
Henry IV, released his subjects from allegiance to him, and forbade them to
obey him as sovereign.2 He actually succeeded in exacting humiliating
concessions from the emperor, and yet he subsequently bestowed his kingdom on
another. This pope turned the bishopric of Rome into a universal and unlimited
monarchy, and the sovereigns of Europe were unable to oppose his unprecedented
usurpations. He established also an undisguised and irresistible despotism over
the national Churches in other lands, by enacting that no bishop in the
Catholic Church should enter on the exercise of his functions until the pope
had continued his election, ar law of far-reaching and vast importance, by
which perhaps more than by any other means Rome sustained for centuries her
temporal power as well as her ecclesiastical influence.”
“And there was given unto him
a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to
continue forty and two months [1,260 days/years].
And he opened his mouth in
blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that
dwell in heaven.
And it was given unto him to
make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over
all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
And all that dwell upon the
earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the
Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” (Rev. 13:5-8).
“And I saw one of his heads
as it were wounded to death.” (Rev. 13:3).
This fourth beast little
horn, blasphemous Beast of Medieval Europe, was finally wounded by a sword, the
Reformation’s “sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Eph. 6:17).
The above short history
showed how the crumbling, civil Empire gave way to religious Christendom. And don’t
we see a comparison to our imploding civil Protestant nation giving way to the
world’s most powerful religion, the papal Vatican?
Miraculously this powerful
Dark Ages beast, which was so hostile against God and His earthly children, didn’t
die. Another beast, a peaceful looking power, this time arising from Protestant
America, foolishly gave first aid to its Dark Ages adversary.
“His deadly wound was healed:
and all the world wondered after the beast.
And they worshipped the
dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying,
Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?...
If any man have an ear, let
him hear.” (Rev. 13:3,4,9).
“And I beheld another beast
coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a
dragon.
And he exerciseth all the
power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell
therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
And he doeth great wonders,
so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
And deceiveth them that dwell
on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the
sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should
make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
And he had power to give life
unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and
cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be
killed.” (Rev. 13:11-15).
What can we expect, now that
life is being breathed back into this old adversary to today’s Protestant
dominated world’s?
Already we are seeing the
great final scenes in the history of our world, events that already are casting
their shadows before, the sound of their approach causing the earth to tremble,
and men’s heart to fail them for fear.
“He is come to Aiath, he is
passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages: they are gone over
the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah
of Saul is fled. Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard
unto Laish, O poor Anathoth. Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim
gather themselves to flee.” (Isa. 10:28-31).
“My bowels, my bowels! I am
pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace,
because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.
Destruction upon destruction is cried.” (Jer. 4:19,20).
“When ye therefore shall see
the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the
holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Then … flee into the
mountains:
Let him which is on the
housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Neither let him which is in
the field return back to take his clothes.
And woe unto them that are
with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
But pray ye that your flight
be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
For then shall be great
tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no,
nor ever shall be.
And except those days should
be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those
days shall be shortened.” (Matt. 24:15-22).
And what are we going to do
when the next wave of pro-Papacy immigrants knocks on our border, this time not
3,000, but 3 million, or 30 million of them? That size of a Catholic vote will
most certainly put the most villainous, papal-backed president in the White
House. And that future sizable group are much like the ignorant, superstitious, and childlike Gothic nations. They aren’t ignorant such as having not intelligence. They are ignorant of biblical truth and its sanctifying influence. And they come with the superstitions of Catholicism and their cultural spiritualism from their ancient past. They no less intelligent than Protestant Americans. And they are childlike, not toward their enemy Protestant America, but childlike and trusting and reverent and deferential toward the Pope.
Are you worried and scared?
“As for me Daniel, my
cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me.” (Dan. 7:28).
“I Daniel was grieved in my
spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.
I came near unto one of them
that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me
know the interpretation of the things.…
These great beasts, which are
four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.
But the saints of the most
High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever
and ever.” (Dan. 7:15,16,17,18).
Godly fear is healthy. He
uses it to consume our earthiness and pride that we may escape the corruptions by
worldly lusts.
“Wherefore we receiving a
kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God
acceptably with reverence and godly fear: for our God is a consuming fire.”
(Heb. 12:28,29).
Let’s never forget the
precious promises from on high.
“Grace and peace be
multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
According as His divine power
hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the
knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Whereby are given unto us
exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of
the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through
lust.
And beside this, giving all
diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge.” (2Pet. 1:2-5).
“I beheld till the thrones
were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as
snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the
fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
A fiery stream issued and
came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten
thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the
books were opened.
I beheld then because of the
voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was
slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
As concerning the rest of the
beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for
a season and time.
I saw in the night visions,
and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came
to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
And there was given him
dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages,
should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass
away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.…
Until the Ancient of days
came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came
that the saints possessed the kingdom.” (Dan. 7:9-14,22).
“And he shall speak great
words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High,
and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until
a time and times and the dividing of time.
But the judgment shall sit,
and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the
end.
And the kingdom and dominion,
and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the
people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and all dominions shall serve and obey him.” (Dan. 7:25-27).
“These things I have spoken
unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have
tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
“And one of the elders
answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and
whence came they?
And I said unto him, Sir,
thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great
tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of
the Lamb.
Therefore are they before the
throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth
on the throne shall dwell among them.
They shall hunger no more,
neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
For the Lamb which is in the
midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains
of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” (Rev. 7:13-17).
